Did you know that changing a dataset’s compression setting doesn’t recompress existing data?
Only newly written data is compressed with the new algorithm.

With OpenZFS 2.4, you can use zfs rewrite to recursively rewrite files in a directory and thus recompressing them.

zpool status tank | grep scan

Check the DR pool too. That's the copy you'll restore from. Link to download the checklist is in the comments.
