@krushanfoundation.orgAfrican penguins are critically endangered, and each one makes a difference. A single penguin can produce at least 45 offspring over its lifetime. That’s why “Every penguin counts” is not just a tagline. It’s the truth. It's a rallying cry. Won’t you join us?
@krushanfoundation.orgCelebrating baby Shannon's milestone. 👏 👏 💙
@krushanfoundation.orgThank you for standing with us, for believing in community‑rooted conservation, and for choosing a future where these remarkable birds continue to waddle, bray, and raise their chicks on a coastline that still feels like home.
@krushanfoundation.orgIf your DAF is quietly loitering in the corner, give it a shove. Make a gift, make a ripple, then brag about it here so Waddlesworth can applaud you.
@krushanfoundation.orgWhat can one person do to protect critically endangered African penguins? A lot as it turns out. Our free five-day email course turns “what can one person do?” into concrete actions. Visit our site or use the QR code in the video.
@krushanfoundation.orgGather ‘round, featherless friends. Penguins, don’t ask for reviews. We simply are. It seems humans enjoy hearing from other humans. Something about ‘relatability’ and ‘shared experience’ and ‘trust signals.’ Adorable. As Chief Inspiration Officer, I’ll allow it.
@krushanfoundation.orgRecovery, rescue, care, and release. We protect critically endangered African penguins along 1,271 miles of South Africa's coastline to keep them in the wild. Extinct in 2035? Not if we can help it. Join us.
@krushanfoundation.orgAfrican penguins could be extinct in the wild by 2035.
Our free 5-day email course turns “what can one person do?” into five concrete actions. By the end, you’ll understand the threats African penguins face better than most anyone outside the conservation world.
@krushanfoundation.orgThe Association of Zoos and Aquariums and its accredited facilities do incredible work protecting African penguins. But I can’t deal with a future where my species exists only ex situ. We’re meant to be out, in situ, flapping at gulls and arguing about fish.
@krushanfoundation.orgYour gifts also helped us to fund the KruShan Foundation African Penguin Protector X-Ray Room for critical on-site diagnostics, freezers to store penguin food, and rehab pool relining.
Not bad for an org that's technically a micro nonprofit. Let's keep going!
@krushanfoundation.orgThe best view of an African penguin is this one. Wild, free, on their own beach. Fewer than 8,000 breeding pairs remain. Help us keep it that way. Link in bio.
@krushanfoundation.orgPetitions work!
At the African penguin colony:
Braying (penguin cheering)
Dramatic flipper flapping
One juvenile penguin who thinks this means unlimited sardines and was gently corrected
Perfect? No.
Progress? Absolutely.
Is Waddlesworth pleased? Immensely.
@krushanfoundation.orgIt's Waddleworth Wednesday. In a light-hearted moment, our chief inspiration officer is inviting you to dance with him on the beach. So turn up your phone's volume and enjoy.
@krushanfoundation.orgBaby Shannon is loud, opinionated, and already demanding food. As she grows she'll become more curious, playful, mischievous, and at times, cantankerous. So yeah, the name fits.
From Wimberley, Texas to Mossel Bay, South Africa, please help us cheer her on.
@krushanfoundation.orgAfrican penguins are sentinels species. Their 97% decline indicates that our oceans are losing the ability to support life. Including human life. After all, oceans generate much of the oxygen we breathe.
