Proposed changes to the National Health Interview Survey would make it harder for #AACUsers & other #disabled people to take this key survey & be counted: lnk.to/nhis. The #NHIS can’t serve its purpose if it doesn't accurately count us! Comments due to the #CDC 10/19.

Title: “RE: NHIS Proposed 2028 Redesign.” Text explains that the proposed National Health Interview Survey redesign could undo progress in identifying people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, weakening federal evidence used to document disparities, evaluate policy, and hold systems accountable.Black-and-white CRDJ recommendations graphic for the NHIS Proposed 2028 Redesign, due October 19, 2026. Four concerns are listed: reverses recent I/DD data progress; weakens disability evidence infrastructure; compounds inequities in who gets counted; and moves forward without enough testing or transparency.
