Um this took forever so. Idk if anyone wants to, but since I did on Instagram, why not #tavqotd! I think I’ve seen it before but not for awhile.

What ship dynamics represent your OC/LI? I picked some existing and made some up, you know I love the memes

A couple more of Nerys as Laura Palmer. I’ve had these in my mind forever. I wanted to do the scream 😅 but I think that might be the limit of my expressive work. Shout out to @sp4rr0wsw3nch.bsky.social’s photobooth camp for making it possible

my #TwinPeaks tarot cards for the major arcana challenge on instagram: the High Priestess & the Moon
brief analysis below ⬇️
#bg3vp #tarot #astarion #nerysOC #theredroom #twinpeaks #astarys

Nerys as the High Priestess tarot card snapping her fingers,
wearing a black dress with long drapey sleeves and a knowing smile in the red room

The inspiration for the card: Laura Palmer in Twin Peaks

Astarion as the Moon tarot card, looking uncertain in a suit in the red room

The inspiration for the card, Dale Cooper standing stiffly in the red room

Oh, there’s quite a lot of shame, of course. For resist durge it’s hard to see a way out of it. It’s one of the few things Nerys doesn’t talk about openly; it burrows into her soul instead and hurts more than any physical pain ever could (her pain tolerance is very high)

Instead of the blood of Lathander Nerys gets her great honking sword, Symphony, to radiant smite with til the end of her days. Makes sense to have it be a weapon of consequence for the MC (especially since her reckless ass blew up the crèche in her haste) - fic chapter incoming 😁

Nerys would be delighted to learn the subtext of emoji and would definitely spam them, albeit likely not always correctly. But she can always pick up something dirty quick! Especially with the vampire around. I think her favorite have to be the dichotomy of : 🥺 😾 though (emo/angy)

We share a HC of our guy as someone who likes a juicy booty 😁
So maybe “bite me,” but could just as easily be “crybaby” if he’s feeling more spiteful…or “good girl” if he really wants her to be flustered when she finds them (bhaalspawn daddy issues, fork found in kitchen)

Nerys’ hands often end up at Astarion’s neck/ears (although she doesn’t touch the scars for a long time), or on his waist. She is drawn to the vulnerable parts of him; when others are present her focus is on grounding touch.

I also had @voyeuristicbeast.bsky.social draw this in honor of my friend who roleplays the owlbear, the only child Nerys will ever have, hehe
She’s sharing her beer, don’t tell 🤫 there’s a reason she’s his favorite dad

Here are some photos of #astarys looking cute last year, some of my first VP. Tbh I can’t imagine her wearing that (especially the heels) but it was all I could find

I’ve been feeling a bit fragile and low energy to participate in things like these to be honest 🙈 but here’s to trying not to care so much. Tell me what you like about #NerysOC, if anything.

Some images, too, from chapter one 😼
Kitty hiss.

This fic is narrated from both Astarion and Nerys’ perspectives. I’ve written about 5 chapters of ~20 so far.

Astarion smirking at Nerys, a strong body type drow with white hair and blue facial markings wearing silver armor, as he holds a dagger to her throat.

Astarion snarling at Nerys, a strong body type drow with white hair and blue facial markings wearing silver armor, as she struggles to her feet after headbutting him to wrestle out of his grip.

The way she'd looked at him when he'd had the knife to her throat had almost made him drop it. It was the look of someone who would lean into the knife to drag their attacker closer. Almost a dare. It scared him, if he was honest. And yet there had been something magnetic there, too. Something that made his mouth go dry. Above all, his impression had been that she was absolutely the kind of person whose shadow he should be lurking in if he hoped to stay alive outside of his master's lair-but who knew how long she'd last? Nerys was the kind of woman he'd never take for a mark; there was too much defiance in her gaze, and something sharp...he'd usually been more careful than that. Gone for the ones with eyes soft and unfocused from drink. Or the ones who lit up when they saw him like he was a piece of candy they wanted to snatch. He shuddered at the thought, feeling phantom fingers close around his waist.

Now, though, his metrics for a mark were a bit different, he thought as he snuck a glance up at her while pretending to focus on mending his sock. She was oiling that ridiculous greatsword she'd gotten off the devil on the nautiloid with meticulous care, her brow cragged with concentration. His eye followed the ripple of muscle beneath the dark skin down the back of her arm as she worked her hand over the blade, just able to catch the fleeting impression of freckles there before she turned her head.
Astarion's eyes skated away, a haughty expression painted onto his face. Of course, along with the intriguing persona and the muscled physique, Nerys had also made five decisions by the time they made camp that were reckless if he was being generous, and stupid if he wasn't. So perhaps despite his fears, he would be able to manipulate her quite easily. He certainly hoped so. To be honest, he found it all rather thrilling, given the intoxicating feeling of being free.

Beautiful work by @bonniesgate.bsky.social as always to illustrate my #durgestarion fic, I Apologize If You Feel Something. Finally braving posting them, I’d love if you gave it a look 🫣 First two chapters up now: archiveofourown.org/works/926996...

It took him a moment to see through the competing light sources to ascertain that the tall woman was actually crying. Not silently, either, the way he did when he absolutely couldn't restrain himself; her breath was coming in great gulping sobs, and shudders wracked her chest.
What the hells? This woman grew more baffling to him by the moment. She made no attempt to wipe her face, letting the tears slip down her chin and drip down her neck. A strange thought intruded-she was beautiful, in her way. He hadn't really noticed before, other than noting her striking eyes. Not the way he was beautiful, of course, but there was something oddly compelling about the sharp angle of her nose, something graceful about the curve of her cheekbone beneath a ripple of white hair the wind had plastered to her wet face. Why he was noticing this now, of all times, when she was blubbering like a wounded owlbear, was beyond him.

"Please," Nerys said faintly, her voice gone hoarse. "I have the most awful feeling clawing up my throat. I need help." Her head drooped forward as she groped for her sword.
Astarion's nose crinkled. Who in the sweet hells was she talking to?
"There's something very wrong," the drow went on, "with...with me. I don't..I can't remember..." she squeezed her eyes tightly shut for a moment. "Whatever...whatever compulsion grips me, I cannot hold back on my own." Nerys throat worked as she took up the sword in both hands and then drove the sword decisively down into the earth, both hands gripping its crossguard. Oh, for fuck's sake.
"Goddess, hear me. Whatever your aid might cost, I will pay. I put myself in your hands, Sarenrae. Only deliver me from this torment." Her chest was heaving like she couldn't breathe. Not only was she praying, perish the thought, but she seemed quite mad. But perhaps he could work this to his advantage, somehow? Doubt crept up Astarion's spine.

Nerys is the haunted one ofc. If I could pick another: urchin. She never quite knows how to fit into society, whether in the Gate, Menzo or elsewhere. She’s a feral paladin + confused creature forever, although whether she’s concerned about that fluctuates. Intuitive, self reliant #tavqotd #NerysOC

Depends. When not trying intimidate (+11), someone being scared of her will put Nerys into a real mood. It makes her resentful, but that gets layered over with guilt, which turns into a toxic stew of suppressed emotions while she goes silent. Moody drow!
