#hobbystreak Day 729

Some progress on the centerpiece Airship for my Halfling Army. I'm still waiting for the support poles between the ballon and hull but in the meantime I attached the engines and the tail rotor.

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic #airship

The balloon of the airship, I attached the engines and tail rotor and eventually intend to add a observation hatch to the top where the misprinted banner once was. Some close-ups on the various parts of the Airship such as the tail rotor, what is to be the observation hatch on the top of the balloon, the support ropes and the bottom of the hull which I intended to sculpt the keel onto.

I'll do a group shot after basecoating tomorrow.

And a WIP on the centerpiece of this army, a big Airship

#hobbystreak Day 704 - 706

Had a busy weekend but I was able to finish the rest of the bow-wielding Wild Runners as well as finishing most of the core cavalry for my Halfling Army sans their heads and bases.

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic

The remaining bow-wielding Halfling Wild Runners, while I had originally planned to give them all bows I unfortunately ran out of bits so I improvised with some slings. A group shot of the, now almost complete, core cavalry for my Halfling Army, just missing their heads, basing and a 10-men squad of Chicken Riding Juggers.

#hobbystreak Day 703

I started on my Modular Wild Runners using some Dead Man's Hand bits to represent rifles and building the first of the bows as well.

Next I'll build 5 "filler" units to form a regiment with either option

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic

I used some spare Dead Man's Hand bits to build 5 Wild Runners with "Rifles", I'll also be building 5 without bows and then 5 with general close combat weapons to fill out a squad with either option. The first and "Sergeant" character for my 5 bow Wild Runners.

#hobbystreak Day 699

After playing a test game of Kings of War with my Halflings a friend suggested using these Clockwork Trap miniatures from Malifaux as markers for the Bear Trap Command Order so I based them up accordingly

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic

Some Clockwork Trap miniatures from Malifaux that I'll be using as marker for the Bear Trap command order for my Kings of War Halfing Army based on suitable bases and basecoated.

#hobbystreak Day 697 & 698

After a test game of KoW I realised that while my movement trays look cool but won't be great in-game due to their size so I prototyped a slimmed down version. I have more ideas so stay tuned for v2

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic

The first prototype of my slimed down angled movement tray including a removable name plate and status markers. The angled movement tray with a regiment sized unit as an example.

#hobbystreak Day 695

Finished the rest of the second Regiment of Halfing Braves. I used the Axe & Pick weapons to represent a trained farmer militia led by an elite "Shire-guard"

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic

The second Regiment of Halfing Braves, themed around the concept of a trained farmer militia equipped with their tools, Axes and Picks, led by a front line of elite "Shire-guard".
@explosiveflorist.bsky.socialSep 7, 2026, 11:50 AM

#hobbystreak Day 693

I built some Spear-wielding "Shire-guard" to be used to indicate that a Braves Regiment is being run as Spearspikes.

#kingsofwar #mantic #halflings #paintingminiatures #nerdlings #mymantic

Some "Shire-guard" made using some of the resin shields from the Mantic Juggers upgrade kit.
