i wanted to take an honest crack at a myr, as they were a big part of one of my first experiences with magic YEARS ago! no joke, no bit, just my attempt to make these cute robo guys even cuter!

#mtg #mtgalter #digitalart #myr

a magic the gathering myr token, depicting a little robot fellow with a beaked head. there are red rings adoring its body as it takes a ready stance. it stands against a green background, with white, red, and gold specks floating around him. the token reads “myr, 1/1”

#tokentober day 14: servo

instead of doing a pop culture reference with this one, i decided to introduce a *totally real*, all new character into the magic the gathering canon!

this is servo sam, and he’s pleased as punch to meet you all! everyone say hi to servo sam!

#mtg #mtgalter #digitalart

a magic the gathering servo token, depicting a happy looking servo with a. glowing blue core. the servo is saying “hi friends! i’m servo sam!”. the token reads “servo, 1/1, ‘aw shucks’”

#mtgalter people I need help. Golden acrylic. Tried to wipe the brush before marking but it's so hard to tell what I'm doing. Gesso and even a small bit of water don't mix. Color mixing is hard and my palette dried out before the layer did.
I am legally blind, and am using my phone camera to see.

Workstation full of paints. There is a pink phone stand on a box. There are five altered magic the gathering cards. Seize the spoils is completely blanked out other than the art. Elvish mystic has "CoD Druid" written on it. Three different altered basic lands are on the right, in various stages of incomplete.

Mental Misstep

Most of my work this week has been tournament prep, mainly working on the free/counter/interaction package part of my deck.

If/when they make a Deadlock card game, I am going to be bankrupt. Until then, I'll make my own to tide me over.

Mina Ha, an Asian American vampire wearing a haute couture coat, holds aloft her red umbrella in her right hand and her pistol in the other. She hovers over Greewich in The Cursed Apple map. She has a sadistic smile on her face.

This is underneath the text of Felisa, the Fang of Silverquill, the Magic the Gathering card. At the bottom is the quote, "Run for your pitiful lives!"

I'm hoping to finish the forest I started on Sunday tonight.
