Yes, definitely more than a third, as there are people who can't drive, should not be driving, or don't want to drive. Just keep on keeping on, and do your thing to focus on safety. #Motonormativity folks are always going to present a car culture bias.

Amazing that every time a bike lane is installed near businesses the owners always complain it is going to destroy their business. Wild that this continues to happen despite all of the studies that show the exact opposite. Is this related to #Motonormativity or something different?

I didn't even realize that I broke #Motonormativity. I'll take that as a badge. I just found the original argument so absurd on its face that I needed to underline it.

I like the twist the author puts on the argument about who gets priority on the road. "But the argument could just as easily be reversed: "This is not about banning driving. It's about moving driving to times or areas where the conflict with other traffic is less." Breaks #Motonormativity brain.

...The key thing, as we all know, is that the police and journalists work together to deflect attention away from the possibility that the driver's speed, attention, sobriety, or competence may have had anything to do with this incidence of road harm, and that it was avoidable.

Definitely a hotly debated issue right now. The #IndependentMobility of teens using e-mobility devices. #Motonormativity causing some people to not consider all sides of the issue. We need to avoid actions that create barriers to teen mobility, while supporting safety/education/safe infrastructure.

I am sure that these same nimbys would like to see a critical mass of #eBikes rolling down the road each morning in front of them. I can already hear the #Motonormativity outrage. I guess it is hard for them to understand that safe transportation infrastructure for all modes is the answer.
