#hobbyStreak 65. Finally resolved the issues with turnout 8. It was a pain in the back, being two feet into the scene beyond the roundhouse and turntable, standing on a stool leaning into the scene.

Geezer standing on a step stool and leaning past the roundhouse to get at switch 8 with a gauge.

#hobbyStreak 64. Another evening of track woes: I made this switch worse! #modelRailway #modelRailroad

The switch of turnout #8, with a test truck that took the wrong route.

Port Arend, 1959 ~
Fear of finishing? Here's one of the several nearly complete scenes in my dioramas. There's a glaring omission of pavement and other ground cover. Not hard to do, but will it then be done with me and me with it?

#hobbyStreak 63. Moving the guardrails on turnout 7 seems to have resolved the sneaky problem. #modelRailway #modelRailroad

My hairy fingers use a gauge to check the check gauge on turnout 7

This weekend I'll be filming at the 40th anniversary Greenock model rail show. It was a brilliant show last year, looking forward to see what they have in store this time! If you're in town get along to the Lyle Kirk Sat & Sun!

The PRA China Clay Wagons entered traffic in the mid-1980s and worked between Cornwall and Scotland, these 4-wheel covered wagons were a quintessential feature of Speedlink services.

Stuck indoors, can't busk when the weather is torrential rain. Needed something to do to fill the day. Working on some interior scenes for a row of terraced houses. At a 1:120 scale this is some fiddly work!

So for the past 8 months I was working on a 0 gauge layout for home use and for my club's layout challenge. It came in second place. Only missed out by 14 points to the winner. #modelrailway.
