After comparing Lengthwise Brewing and Temblor Brewing, I noticed how important user experience, local SEO, and social proof are for attracting potential customers. Simple navigation, updated event information, reviews, and testimonials can help people decide which brewery to visit. #MKTG4060fiasco

I compared Dionysus Brewing and Lengthwise Brewing. Dionysus has a modern, easy to navigate site, while Lengthwise has stronger social proof through its history, locations, and reviews. Both could better showcase customer testimonials. #MKTG4060fiasco

Reviewing WebFX and Thrive showed me that clear navigation and social proof build trust. Testimonials and case studies help, but websites should stay organized and avoid overwhelming visitors. #MKTG4060fiasco

Critiqued Fogo de Chão & Texas de Brazil websites. Both make reservations easy, but neither shows a single customer review on the homepage. For restaurants, social proof builds trust, a big opportunity for local spots like Flame & Fire. #MKTG4060fiasco

Audited “best brazilian steakhouse bakersfield” for Flame & Fire. Client was #4 organically and in the map pack, but ran no ads, and ChatGPT skipped it 2 of 3 times, citing Yelp instead. Lesson: reviews drive both local SEO and AI visibility. #MKTG4060fiasco

My navigational keyword audit for cute as a Cupcake showed strong branded visibility. The client appeared prominently in organic search and was mentioned in Google Ai results for all three searches. I also found no paid ads, indicating organic visibility. #MKTG4060FIASCO

I analyzed three informational cupcake keywords. Cute as a Cupcake was absent from all results, while blogs, forums, social media, and retailers ranked. People Also Ask focused on quantity, pricing, and planning. Helpful content could improve visibility. #MKTG4060fiasco

For this website critique, I compared Bakersfield SPCA and Bakersfield Animal Care Center. Strong SEO would help people searching for terms such as “animal shelter Bakersfield” and “dog adoption Bakersfield.” I also learned that social proof is very important. #MKTG4060fiasco

I compared Meijer and The Peach Cobbler Factory websites. Meijer appeared in my Google search but had only 2.7 stars on Yelp, while Peach Cobbler Factory had 4.3 stars but didn’t show up in my search. SEO and social proof both influence customer decisions! #MKTG4060fiasco

Comparing these websites made me realize how much customer engagement influences a brand’s online presence. A website should not only attract visitors but also give them a reason to trust the business and return. #MKTG4060fiasco

Today I audited 2 Indiana cupcake sites against Cute as a Cupcake. Flying Cupcake has search-friendly menus but sends checkout to DoorDash; Designer Desserts hides its best press off-site. Lesson: own your checkout, show your reviews, claim “cupcakes in a jar Indiana.” #mktg4060fiasco

Nothing Bundt Cakes has a very appealing website with good meta descriptions and they have good social proof since they have good customer reviews.

The Peach Cobbler Factory has a nice website as well with good meta descriptions and they have good social proof n their webpage.

Both bakeries showed me how social proof, SEO, and customer satisfaction improve websites. Beck’s needs online ordering and feedback, while Nothing Bundt Cakes offers simple ordering. Navigation, local keywords, and reviews turn visitors into customers. #MKTG4060fiasco

Some key takeaways from week 6 & 7's assignment "How to Critique a Website", I critiqued two local bakeries near Merrillville, Beck’s Crown Bakery in Crown Point and Saturday Sangria Bakery & Cafe in Winfield. Both sell cupcakes, and I judged them on social proof and content design. #mktg4060fiasco

One thing I found interesting was learning how to check for titletags and meta description. For my websites, while they lacked a meta description, they did have one title tag each. Additionally, I inputted the websites into the pagespeed insights to check the websites performance.

Learned how much load speed matters for a website. Using PageSpeed Insights, Meijer scored 21 and Nothing Bundt Cakes 55 on desktop, while our client Cute as a Cupcake scored 95. Big brands aren’t always faster, and speed can be a real edge for small businesses. #MKTG4060fiasco

What i learned about how a updated a website should be and how fast a website should loud to keep your customers hooked. Both the websites i compared to cute as a cupcake were solid!

Comparing websites SEO and Social proof, helps consumers understand how to make better decision making when shopping around for a product. #MKTG4060fiasco

Wicked Good Cupcakes uses Shark Tank images and 5 star reviews but only lists the name in the meta description. Bundt Cakes does a great job with local online orders and SEO but lacks in number of reviews. SEO gets the click and reviews get the sale. #MKTG4060fiasco

Today in class we learned to critique websites. I analyzed two competitors of our group's client, Flame & Fire, and got a better understand of what makes a website successful, and the areas that they can improve upon.
