Recorded this day, 1970: Miles plays the Fillmore West, San Francisco. This superb radio broadcast had a commercial accidently played over the music, embedded in the tape ever since. We managed to remove it and now it can be heard uninterrupted for the first time ever!

'My Nine Albums', formative, or mind/taste expanding. Badmotorfinger is a big deal and is *probably* my bestest, favouritist, album ever. The rest in no particular order.

What moment does the Cockatoo remember... the big one... Freeborn Hall in Davis...he ended a song...and I was about 6 feet away... I could hear the air exhausting from his lungs through the cup, in what was the greatest ending to a song I would ever hear... Blew me away.

2/ Las de la frénésie du bebop, Miles enregistre en 1949-50 une musique plus posée, avec Gil Evans aux arrangements et Gerry Mulligan au sax. Elle a inspiré le cool jazz de la côte Ouest. Morceau clé : « Boplicity » 🧊 youtu.be/HdP0Xma4pSw?...
