💡This is what an #EducationPathway looks like: universities, EU institutions, NGOs and refugee students, in one room.

Thank you to all who joined the #HERCoN final conference at
@europarl.europa.eu & the #Ireland Permanent Representation to the #EU.

#MigrationEU #OpenDoorsBuildPathways

The EU’s fortress mentality and border externalisation gambits have been a backfiring geopolitical liability for years. The new #MigrationEU pact will see more volatile and authoritarian states bribed to warehouse migrants in Orwellian ‘return hubs’. What could possibly go wrong?

It was followed by an afternoon session at the Permanent Representation of #Ireland to the #EU, in which we exchanged views on the implementation and practice of education pathway programmes developed through the #HERCoN project.

This is one of the main takeaways from our #HERCoN final conference.

We started at the @europarl.europa.eu with a policy discussion hosted by @socialistsanddemocrats.eu' Sabrina Repp, on the role of #ErasmusPlus in supporting displaced learners.

📢 An Education Pathway is not just welcoming.

It is accompanying refugee students in the entire process of settling in a new country, navigating new systems & preparing for a new life.

This, of course, doesn't come without challenges.
