Well, tonight #Svengoolie is preempting both #MeTVBatman AND #MeTVStarTrek. At least tonight we’re getting a full TWO HOURS of #MeTVThreeStooges, unlike last week.
And there’d better not be any JOE BESSER, either.

@steenwes.bsky.socialSince MeTV has decided to yet again preempt #MeTVBatman and #MeTVStarTrek for an extended #Svengoolie tonight, I am enjoying Batman on the Heroes & Icons channel (1184 on Xfinity) At least I won’t be climbing the walls tonight over missing my Batman fix.
@steenwes.bsky.social“Sensors indicate that is correct, Batman.”
#MeTVStarTrek
@steenwes.bsky.social“You mean - because of tonight’s #Svengoolie schedule there’s only ONE hour of #MeTVThreeStooges and NO #MeTVBatman and NO #MeTVStarTrek?”

@coughlinbrett.bsky.socialPowerful, god-like beings called the Metrons intercept both ships and force Captain James T. Kirk and the captain of the reptilian Gorn species into a trial by single combat on a barren planet.
Trial by combat!
Kirk vs Gorn mfers!
@jon276.bsky.socialYes. I might go read technical manuals.

The Romulan Centurion in this episode reminds me of the Soviet political officer onboard the Red October. (Ivan Putin 🙀 played by Peter Firth). At least in the Star Trek version, the Romulan Captain didn’t shoot the Centurion.

This episod, Balance Of Terror, was partially based on submarine warfare.
@writermpoteet.bsky.socialThough I will say, they cut all the exposition before the wedding ceremony just then, didn't they?! Again, amazing how well #StarTrek holds up! #MeTVStarTrek
@jon276.bsky.socialHappy 60th, everyone!
