@sfcd.euZum 100. #sfcd #Berlinale #sciencefiction #Metropolis
@artofthemovies.bsky.socialAlmost a century old... the movie, that is! Here's a genuine German poster from the 2011 re-release of "Metropolis", Fritz Lang's prescient sci-fi masterpiece.

@alinagrafik.eurosky.socialPeople can be seen looking at "Metropolis II" a kinetic sculpture at LACMA. They give a sense of scale about how large this car track is through a metropolis.

@twilighttwit.bsky.social#Metropolis.
Live vocals eigenlijk want
"a-capella" suggereert: geen instrumenten.
@joekingthethird.bsky.socialHeading for #Amsterdam in a bit for a screening of #Metropolis with live music. Well, live vocals at least.
Acapella singing it says, so I guess..

• First I saw Georgio Moroder's 1984 colourised version with a 1980's synth-pop soundtrack.
• I have the 2010 BFI bluray release of the reconstructed restored film.
• Tomorrow, I see this version for the first time on the big screen at the Hayden Orpheum. #film #scifi
