We all heard about the young man in the UK who went into the Tiger enclosure on 10/10/26 and was killed.

To express his compassion, #Trump posted an AI image of him loving on that tiger.

As usual, #Congress does nothing about a mentally ill POTUS.

I heard his voice but not with my ears he told me to do horrible things to myself, to my body cut it, destroy it, kill it he showed up one day uninvited somewhere deep inside my mind and my hands, they did what they were told I have the scars to prove it he told me I'm a mistake, tried to get me to erase myself exacerbated depression forced me to live in darkness with a voice that followed me for years then one day he was gone maybe he found a new victim or I found the right med to kill him every once in a while I think I hear him I chalk it up to a migraine aura (it's for the best) self-destruction isn't always a conscious choice sometimes the voices within command it when you're at your lowest with no one else trying to help you it's difficult not to listen

I would like, in the first place, to refer to Colonel Goodall's remarks. With almost all he said I was in must hearty agreement. but—and this is where there is a little tendency to port company, as has really been voiced by Colonel Lord—I rather deprecate our being too ready to imitate. Colonel Goodall took us back to Babylonian and Assyrian days. Well, it on happens that just lately, to keep off headaches from the routine work of the day, I have been reading up some old works of Hippocrates and his associates. That is far enough tack for US, sorely. Believe me, they had their troubles. Dr. Goodall said that we did not hear much about lunacy difficulties in those days or that, at any rate, they were quickly disposed of ; but I am extraordinarily struck in reading these old writings, to see how constantly two of our troubles, insanity and epilepsy, are being alluded to as examples of various treatments, and so they probably also had a great many cases of them.

I was lucky enough to know Amber for a while, one of the most fascinating people I've ever met. OCD is one of the most debilitating and disabling forms of #mentalillness, and exposure therapy needs to be better available. #OCDAwarenessWeek #mentalhealth

The mentally ill were discharged from back wards to back alleys during the Reagan administration, due to the lack of funded community housing and support services. Prisons became the largest providers of housing and mental health care for the mentally ill.

To be clear:

If you are mentally ill, or studying/advocating/working in #MentalHealth / #MentalIllness, avoiding the phrase is a clear sign that the stigma still exists, and it has *won*.

Use the right terms. Do it *because* it feels awkward, or vulnerable, until those feelings no longer come up.

The day is about health, but a lot of related discussions are about illness.

Some say "remove the stigma" then self-censor to soften their language into "I'm struggling with mental health"

If you mean #mentalillness, say mental illness.
