Hey #medLibs, did you see that #OpenAlex now features PubMed‘s study designs? They added more depth and also classified works that are not classified in #PubMed.

Now, I want to make another bibliometric analysis of #SystematicReviews 😊

Any #medlibs try out #sysrev in place of #rayyan? Curious to hear your thoughts. I recently tried it for a lit review project and really liked the mobile interface and some of the labeling and highlighter features. I found myself swiping on my phone for the [tiab] screening - so convenient!

Going down an #OpenEvidence rabbit hole and found this article where OE supplemented served as a source for grey lit. They validated the citations by checking established databases (PubMed, WoS). Has any #medlibs come across this reason to use OE in lit reviews? gpm.amegroups.org/article/view...

Monday morning #library engagement time!

Last week we asked if toilet paper should be hung over or under, and had the biggest landslide we've ever seen - for over.

Check out today's question on the board.

If we had to get rid of all social media sites except one, which one would you keep?

Anyways. Shout-out to the free and excellent course on SRs following the Campbell Collaboration guidelines from Carnegie Mellon and the Open Learning Initiative. oli.cmu.edu/courses/syst...
Useful for SRs and ScRs following other guidelines, too.

This relates to one of the big problems with automating the review process using AI: If you don't have a strong understanding of your question (including what kind of data is necessary to answer it), you can't give the AI anything meaningful to work with or assess its output.

Currently working through the data extraction section of the (free!) Campbell Collaboration systematic review training.
New researchers often come to us without a clear idea of what data they need to collect, in part because they don't have a clear understanding of their question.

Just need a break? How about the idea of a #library5aday?

5 minutes to yourself to read, relax & de-stress.
Try to fit in 5 a day for your #Wellbeing

Your local #NHSLibrary has some great fiction and wellbeing books.
