Initial question: Find the mean, median, mode and range for the dataset: 12, 13, 14, 17, 17, 19, 20 Answers: mean = 16, median = 17, mode = 17, range = 8 What would happen if I changed the question? What would happen if we increased the last number by 1 (20 to 21)? Which summary statistics would change? Why? Which summary statistics would stay the same? Why?

A new exercise on the Properties of 2D Shapes requires students to simply move the sliders to describe each shape: number of sides and angles, pairs of parallel sides, lines of symmetry, rotational symmetry etc... 6 levels!
