Maryanne D’uberville had a perfect life. Every morning she awoke, ate a breakfast of toast and tea, then trolled the woods for lost strangers and runaways. She #lured them down into her basement waxworks, bound and dipped them, and made living dolls for her collection.
My last loaf set on the sill to cool. Those poor children, #lured by the warm scent; so hungry they lick the wattle and daub walls. I nurse them, but winter is cruel, the ground too frozen for graves. So I cremate their flesh, grind the bones to flour. I need bread too. They call me a witch. #vss365
#vss365 While sad flurries of sand kept vigil at dusk, the warm vibrato of my bassoon #lured the fennec out of hiding. I tossed it a few morsels. This outpost was virtually an island of stone surrounded by a vast sea of dust, and my lone friend had gobbled up the last of my supplies.
The full moon cast a romantic glow through the trees. She puckered up. “Now you’ve #lured me here, what will you do with me?” A wolf stepped out of the shadows & stalked towards them, yellow eyes aglow. She screamed. He stepped in front of her. “Hi, darling,” he said. “Here’s your dinner.” #vss365
For two days, town was covered in a dust vortex. Hunters came from places I'd never even heard of, #lured by rumour of the creature, the one that had Slipped Through. Just a photo could bank a decade's living. Trouble is, its hunts left no traces. It even ate the clothes. #vss365
Bob talks to Nora about one of his past relationships and how she #lured him in. He fell for the chemistry and her flattery, but she turned out to be a total toad. Nora has nothing good to say about this woman and she doesn't know why Bob is even talking about her.
