#KeplersSupernova, a Type Ia #supernova, was observed by #JohannesKepler from #ThisDayInHistory in 1604, eight days after being recorded by #LodovicoDelleColombe. It was discussed in #Kepler's book #DeStellaNova and called a new star in the foot of the #constellation #Ophiuchus.
