Lunch With a View
Sometimes lunch is wherever the road gives me a place to stop. A simple meal, mountain air and a few quiet minutes before the journey continues.
A NIGHT OF PROPER REST
There was no hostel in the city, so tonight I chose a guesthouse. Tomorrow will be a busy day, and after so many kilometres on the road, I needed a proper night’s rest.
A SIMPLE VEGETARIAN MEAL IN SERBIA
I found a restaurant with vegetarian options and asked for something different from pizza. Rice, grilled vegetables, bread and fresh orange juice — all for about €6.
42 KM… Then Everything Fell Apart
After 42 km through rain, wind and cold, I faced one of my most frustrating experiences with Serbian police and had to completely unpack my trolley. I’ll share the full story soon.
TUNNEL AFTER TUNNEL
Today’s route took me through tunnel after tunnel. Walking inside these dark roads is never easy, but every step brings me closer to India.
BREAKFAST WITH SO MANY CHOICES
Bread, fruit, jam, biscuits and juice made for a simple but generous breakfast. A good start before another long day on the road.
DREAM LIFE
Quiet fields, green hills and cows grazing under a clear blue sky. Simple scenes like this make me stop for a moment and enjoy the peaceful side of the journey.
40 KM AND FINALLY REST
After 40 km, people helped me find a place to camp while my power banks charged nearby. My tent was still soaked, but I was grateful to finally stop and rest.
NIGHT TUNNEL CHALLENGE
Walking through tunnels is difficult during the day, but at night it becomes another level. Dark, loud and tense, but I kept moving forward.
TUNNEL AFTER TUNNEL
This 228-metre tunnel was the second longest of the day. After crossing so many tunnels, every one became another small challenge on the road.
TUNNEL DAY
September 15 became “Tunnel Day” after crossing more than 20 tunnels through the mountains. A long, challenging stretch of road, but I kept moving forward.
ANOTHER TUNNEL AHEAD
The mountain road keeps testing me. Another tunnel ahead, another stretch to cross, and another step closer to the next destination.
RAINY MORNING IN ROŽAJE
Day 207 started with heavy rain in Rožaje, Montenegro. My tent was soaked, but the road still had to continue. Another difficult morning on the journey.
MEME MATERIAL ON THE BRIDGE
Some moments on the road are serious. Others are just pure comedy. This old bridge gave us plenty of laughs and one unforgettable photo.
DRAMA KING ON THE BRIDGE
This bridge looked simple from a distance, but crossing it was a different story. Sometimes the journey brings fear, laughter and unforgettable moments all at once.
