Nat is a vicious defender of Queer and Trans folks. She wouldn't even flinchgetting Riot Grrl aggro on them. As a doctor and on the church campus she had to be more diplomatic.

Magic nights that pulled him away from the pressure of studying and the anger at their lives as a whole. Though instead of his cousins and childhood friends, he was sharing this sacred moment with a tiny preppy woman who was either putting on one hell of an act to impress him or setting him up for an elaborate prank.

“Motherf-” Ceres slapped the End Call button and flopped onto her bed with a sigh. The light fixture, a single dome, stared back down at her like an unblinking, judgemental eye. Ceres brushed her blue-green hair from her face and cast an accusing look at the bill open on the counter. Her studio was little more than a shoebox with a separate cubby for her bed - kitchenette crammed against the TV crammed against the door. No matter where she looked, that red OVERDUE across the page drew her back. Above her, the ancient ceiling fan clicked as it spun.

I’m like that fan, she thought to herself. Just spinning out.
