"St-Jean-sur-Richelieu is the 11th largest city in Quebec. Located on Montreal's South Shore (in the Montérégie region), it is about 20 minutes from the Champlain Bridge and 30 km from the Canada-US border. It is the seat of the Haut-Richelieu Regional County Municipality (MRC) and was formed by the merger of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Luc, Iberville, L'Acadie, and Saint-Athanase.
