Tabor Winery Judaica Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Israel

#KosherWineSunday

Inky in color with a reddish/ brick rim.

Earthy nose of black currants, plums, licorice, oak, bell pepper, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf and dark coffee.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cooked cherries, black currants, black plums, blackberries, light vanilla, oak, licorice, tobacco leaf, herbs, light bell pepper, earth, mushrooms, vegetables, black pepper and mediterranean spices.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Israel. Smooth and nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Complex, elegant and entertaining.

Needs time to open up properly (2 hours in the decanter), but good right out of the bottle too. Showing a beautiful nose when it opens up.

Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. I had this vintage a couple of years ago, and it is drinking better now.

Good by itself or with food. Paired beautifully with the beef Prosciutto.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were grown at 2,700 feet of elevation. Aged in oak barrels for 20 months. A small production of less than 7,000 bottles. Kosher and not Mevushal.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$40 (current vintage).

Deep ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Red and black fruits on the nose with light oak, chocolates, coffee, licorice, tobacco, herbs, spices, light black olives and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, coffee, earth, spices, chocolates, licorice, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.

Long spicy finish, with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a very tasty Syrah blend from Israel. Nicely balanced and rich. Fruit forward and complex.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 90 minutes in the decanter.

This 10 year old unique Syrah blend, is drinking very nicely now, and drinking at its peak. I had this vintage 7 years ago, and it is drinking so much better now.

A great sipping wine that paired nicely with food too.

A blend of 76% Syrah, 12% Tannant and 12% Malbec. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Kosher and not Mevushal.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

Boycotting "halal" food is plain stupid. First, "halal" just means it conforms to Muslim rules about what to eat, and sometimes how certain foods are prepared. And second, is #halal really different from #kosher? How can one be okay and not the other? Can a Jew keep kosher without keeping halal?

"What truly drives the book is not the cleverness, determination, courage, cowardice, or contrivances of any of the characters. Rather, the book is really about who Nathan and his girlfriend are meant to be." bit.ly/3xRcmAO #kosher

It challenged me which I really like and have backed up a few times because this is by far not a shallow book. I think there have been a few times where I've felt, okay, 'mind-blown'.' bit.ly/3EBHyb7 #kosher

The main characters- Nathan and Sofia- are both very well done, as is his interpretation of the Rabbi. Bryan Reid definitely has a solid grasp of Jewish pronunciation and concepts and managed to get that across in his reading.' bit.ly/3EBHyb7 #kosher
