Day 6 and I fell to temptation. I shook the jar. And then added wildflower honey. Still no mold but the bloom changed color. Its a rich brown now. Hopefully I get kombucha not mead.

My now brown (hopefully still a scoby) peek into my jar. I was hoping that adding honey would give me more of that honey smell that I got addicted to these last few days but its changed to an apple smell with notes of honey fragrance. Its still nice. The liquid is a but more carbonated now too. Not quite a lavalamp since the bubbles are smaller but its satisfying to watch the fizz.

Day 4 of Kombucha making. (skipped a day) The bubbles are a little less but the skin forming reminds me of really wrinkled skin around the eyes. The smell is very honey and hawiian bread-y. I am resisting the urge to shake the jar.

Day 4 of scoby making for kombucha. A peek into my glass jar. The bubbles are connecting and the whitish layer has climed about an inch up the sides of the glass. Theres also a lot of condensate but still no mold! Whoo

Day 2 of watching tea grow. Way bubblier and opening the lif floods the house with a strong honey scent. Moving the jar doesnt pop the bubbles.

Day 2 of a peek into my glass kombucha jar. The bubbles cover the whole surface of the tea and all have skins on them.
