DJ Shadow celebrates the 30th anniversary of #Entroducing by going on tour and playing the complete album from start to finish for the first time ever. Now you get a chance to hear him rebuild the songs from those samples.

Excellent performance by DJ shadow. He is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, "Entroducing", by going on tour and playing the complete album from start to finish for the first time ever. He'd never been able to do that before because the original samples were lost for years. But now you get a chance to hear him rebuild the songs from those samples. DJ D-Sharp was really good too, playing more of a hip hop set. It was nice to see them pay tribute to Gift of Gab. The venue was nice, it was an old church built in the 1800s. Ok, easily one of my favorite shows of the year.
Paula opened with a few deep cuts then proceeded to perform the whole #ThisFire album, giving some background on the songs. Her voice is as good as ever.

Ok, easily one of my favorite shows of the year. The opener, Rett Madison, was fantastic. Her closing song about her dog, "This Little Dog", wrecked me. Paula opened her set with a few deep cuts then proceeded to perform the whole "This Fire" album front to back, cracking jokes and giving some background on the songs. She said these songs are hard to sing but her voice sounded incredible. Paula Cole w/ Rett Madison Kent Stage Kent, Ohio 9-23-2026 #KelConcert

Rebirth Brass Band a rare non-hip hop act playing the FreshFest. Though the crowd seemed skeptical at first, they quickly won them over.
Rakim gave us an hour of his greatest hits. Always a joy to see the God MC perform.

Fresh Fest Cleveland is one of my favorite festivals in the Cleveland area. Unfortunately, by the time I got the festival, I didn't have time to check out the shops and food before the artists i wanted to see were going on stage. A couple good DJs were keeping the party going early on. I was surprised when Rebirth Brass Band was added to the lineup, because I've seen a non-hip hop act play the Fresh Fest. Though the crowd seemed skeptical at first, they quickly won them over and had the whole place dancing to a high energy set. Rakim's show opened with a 10 minute mix from Technician The DJ, which was the highlight of the show for me. Rakim gave us a little more than an hour of his greatest hits. But this was the 2nd time I'd seen the man this year, and his performance at the Grog Shop in March was superior. Still a joy to see the God MC perform.
