Another one for funsies... Jerry Ross also signed this Dutch act. #JerryRoss #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

Interestingly, Jerry Ross helped launch a Dutch invasion… While in Europe in late 1969 to set up distribution for his Heritage Records label, Ross heard Shocking Blue's "Venus" on a jukebox and was blown away. He secured the North American rights. #JerryRoss #ShockingBlue #OneHitWondered

Jerry Ross’s influence definitely extended beyond his own records... Ross mentored Kenny Gamble and encouraged Gamble & Thom Bell as young writers and performers. Gamble later credited him with opening doors that helped launch the Gamble, Huff and Bell legacy. #JerryRoss #OneHitWondered

"Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie" is a 1967 song written by Maurice Irby, Jr. and first released by #SamTheShamAndThePharaohs in November 1966 as "Ready or Not". It was a hit in a version produced by #JerryRoss, arranged by #JoeRenzetti.
