we really have Keyonte, Darryn & Ace on the same team

Phoenix just went on a 15-2 run while the Jazz did nothing with key bench players in the game
Keyonte is back in the game now and immediately scoring his first basket
they just didn’t go to him early. he has been a non-factor

🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialthe Collier-Brice-Svi trio is not one i enjoy watching play basketball on either end of the floor 😂
51-43 PHX | 6:16 • 2Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialummmmm Josh Okogie just slipped a ball screen (as the ball handler btw) between both defenders and then posterized Maluach
just was a nice play. changes my perspective on him 0%
Jazz defense is abysmal right now as Suns pull ahead
46-43 PHX | 7:21 • 2Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.social@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialwhen the frontcourt is Okogie & JJJ, who do you guys consider the center ? 😂
36-33 UTA | 10:27 • 2Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialthe jazz shot 14 free throws in the first quarter which is great…
but also constantly forces you to play straight up half court defense and the jazz are terrible at that
so the score is close, but utah has controlled the game thus far
31-30 UTA | End 1Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialthe amount of “wide as fuck” open looks JJJ gets in this offense is going to be absurd
and it will only increase as Darryn & Ace grow more as isolation players
they won’t leave Lauri, so instead JJJ just gets to do whatever he wants
30-25 UTA | 45.5 • 1Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.sociali absolutely love ace bailey
you have to be kidding yourself if you can’t see the potential
it is also scary that i keep mistaking hayes for him. he genuinely looks massive this season and not at all slower
kid has no ego. just goes to battle
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialjackson hayes is actually awful 😂
———
it is kinda wild watching dp go up against booker & green and just imagine the days when he is moving like they are
17-14 UTA | 5:52 • 1Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.social♠️♠️♠️
ACE BAILEY LOBBBBBB 🚨
get this kid in the dunk contest
(very nice pass from Darryn. the window there was small and he timed it perfectly)
15-11 UTA | 7:07 • 1Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialjazz subbing Ace for JJJ seems like a pretty well calculated rotation move from Will Hardy
let the rookie start to gain confidence and just wait it out each game for JJJ to inevitably be in foul trouble and then play small
then sub JJJ back in and go big
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialfirst points of the game go to Darryn Peterson
looks extremely comfortable operating out of the slot, off the catch. jazz ran it through him two possessions in a row to start. Lauri has a wide open 3 the first possession rim out
2-0 UTA | 10:57 • 1Q

@ulikejazzpod.bsky.social🎷🎷🎷
Preseason Game 4 @ PHX (1-3)
Jazz Starting Lineup:
1️⃣ K. George
2️⃣ D. Peterson
3️⃣ L. Markkanen
4️⃣ J. Jackson Jr.
5️⃣ J. Hayes
Utah closes out the preseason with a road test in the desert against Devin Booker
is Peterson starting opening day at this point?
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialso the jazz are going to score 8 points the rest of this game apparently 😂
111–90 UTA | 5:31 • 4Q

@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialSVI FOR THREEEEEE 🇺🇦
———
zay, svi, brice, and the joshes start the 4th quarter for utah
no big’s at all
will hardy seems to be testing some small ball stuff out
chaotic stuff is happening for sure 👍
glad i kept it on
104–80 UTA | 10:24 • 3Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialjazz extend to the lead to 21 to close out the 3rd quarter behind some actually solid mo bamba minutes (the spurs did not play an NBA-caliber big man) and a josh okogie 3
pretty sure utah has lead the entire game
99–78 UTA | End 3Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialjazz going darryn peterson at point guard but giving him minimal outlets with both josh green & josh okogie checking in for the first time
he goes to mo bamba for a nice alley-oop
87–73 UTA | 4:31 • 3Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialdarryn peterson hits a 3 and then follows it up with an and-1 left handed layup over kornet
5 straight makes for dp 🔥
he had a really nice pass to zay in the corner for 3 a while back too
85–67 UTA | 6:05 • 3Q
🏔️🏔️🏔️
@ulikejazzpod.bsky.socialso the jazz are deploying the same weird defense in the second half but with no forwards on the floor so brice sensabaugh & darryn peterson are having to guard luke kornet 😂
(and it is working by the way)
peterson looking to score now
72-61 UTA | 9:02 • 3Q
