The fleeting highlight was my first buff-breasted sandpiper in Breachacha bay before it was flushed by a Merlin, which I’d normally be happy to see. To make up for it two golden eagles flew past my house when I returned this evening #birdingscotland

Nice to see 12 Greenland white-fronts in the field opposite as well. #birdingscotland
@handsonecology.bsky.socialA dreich couple of hours searching through the lodge plantation at Arinagour this afternoon paid off when the olive-backed pipit found by Mark Warren on Friday popped out from the undergrowth. My first and the first for Argyll!
