I agree with Meriem’s thought process, but I still use the History of Pandemics as an example of poor #infographic design. The fact that the Black Death was nearly 8x deadlier than HIV/AIDS is completely lost when the data is shown in 3D perspective.

Employees are more than their knowledge and skills. Employees also have strong human needs as mentioned in this #infographic. That is why #HRM is not a superfluous luxury in any organization.

Now that we know all the winners for the 2026 #NobelPrize, we can complete our #infographic! This year, we have 8 male laureates (Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, and Economics) and 2 female laureates: Anne Carson for Literature and Navi Pillay for Peace.

Tall infographic “Women of the Nobel Prize”: six strip charts, one per prize category, showing women laureates in pink among tan bars for men. Since 1901, 935 prizes went to men and only 70 to women. Women’s share ranges from 2.2% in Physics to 15.4% in Literature, and pink bars cluster toward recent decades. In 2026, Anne Carson (Literature) and Navanethem Pillay (Peace) are the two women laureates.

It's time for the map of life to grow again. This time, I'm extending the Pristiformes with the addition of the longtooth sawfish.

A taxonomic map titled "Map of Chondrichthyes" by Matilda's Lab, illustrating the hierarchical classification of cartilaginous fishes using nested colored circles. The chart is divided into major sections for Holocephali (chimaeras) and Elasmobranchii (sharks, rays, and skates). Elasmobranchii branches into Selachimorpha (sharks like Carcharhiniformes, Lamniformes, and Squaliformes) and Batoidea (rays and skates like Rajiformes, Myliobatiformes, and Pristiformes). Each group features detailed circular illustrations of representative species, families, and orders, with a taxonomic rank legend at the top-right and the Matilda's Lab logo centrally at the top.

1859 F. David: Tree Chart Illustrating the History of France

Each branch successively designates, starting from the trunk of the tree, the various kingdoms and governments since Pharamond, leader of the Franks

Each branch successively designates, starting from the trunk of the tree, the various kingdoms and governments since Pharamond, leader of the Franks, up to and including that of S.M. the Emperor NAPOLEON III. In the same order, each sheet of the branch makes known the main events of each reign. Finally the first sheet gives the origin of the King, and the last three, the place, the date of his death and his age. In summary, this important work, which combines the double advantage of Chronology and Genealogy, offers, by its synoptic form, an easy and fruitful study, by rapidly engrave in memory a rich canvas of the history of France.

The 2026 #NobelPrize in Chemistry is awarded to Henri Kagan and Kensō Soai for the discovery of non-linear effects and autocatalysis in asymmetric organic synthesis. Congratulations!

Time to update our #WomenoftheNobelPrize #infographic!

#dataviz

Infographic titled "Women of the Nobel Prize" showing the Nobel Prize in Chemistry from 1901 to 2026. Each prize share is drawn as a thin vertical bar: tan for men (193) and pink for women (8, or 4.0%). Pink bars are sparse: a few in the first half of the timeline, one around the 1960s, and a cluster in the most recent decade or so. Two women are labeled with portraits: Marie Skłodowska-Curie in 1911 (prize share 1/1, the full prize), the first woman in this category, and Carolyn Bertozzi in 2022 (prize share 1/3), the most recent. Gaps in the bars mark years when no prize was awarded.

This is very unique! Not only do we have a Belgian laureate for the #NobelPrize in Physics (proud!), but it has been over 30 years since the committee decided to award the prize to a single individual!

#dataviz #infographic

Infographic titled "Team effort" about the Nobel Prize in Physics. A bar chart shows the number of laureates per year from 1901 to 2026, on a scale from 1 to 3. In the early decades most years have one laureate, with occasional years of two or three. From around the 1950s onward, years with two and three laureates become increasingly common, and a note says the prize has been awarded more and more often to groups of researchers rather than individuals. Two single-laureate years are highlighted in dark brown and labeled with portraits: Georges Charpak in 1992 and Francis Halzen in 2026. The text explains that Halzen's 2026 prize to a single person is unusual, as the last time this happened was 34 years earlier.

Now that we know the 2026 Nobel Prize laureates for Medicine, it's time to start my yearly infographic update! Since its inception in 1901, the Nobel Prize in Medicine has been awarded to 14 women - Mary Brunkow was the most recent one, in 2025.
