I couldn’t find plastic orchid pots that were the right size (& I didn’t wanna buy a set of 24 from amaz*n), so I upcycled some water bottles by cutting tall ventilation slots around the base

It’ll do for now while I continue my search locally

She really needed a repot/trim 😭

Now listen here cacti. Everyone ELSE is shedding leaves and going dormant but THIS cacti must be part cat. Its growing. Now Ive got to figure out how to keep it above 65 degrees while everyone else is fine with the cold.

A stubborn pet cacti refusing dormancy in a black planter. Why is the planter black because it matches the color of it soul. There is also a rusticly drawn stick figure woman screaming out why. As if to ask why this plant that has gone dormant for 3 years has suddenly decided to figuratively sit on my imaginary keyboard to keep me working the rest of the winter to pay for the increase in propane that its about to cause with a smile. I planted the root ends of some green onions about 10 days ago.

Two views of the same, large-ish ceramic garden pot. The upper shows the green onion stubs neatly arranged in the dirt. The lower shows they've all started growing, most about an inch but one about 4 inches! Between is a bright green header bar with the words "Weee! The spring onions are springing!"

Beautiful Easy Sunday.

My precious phaleanopsis / moth orchid plant is proudly showing off her 16 pink n magenta flowers at a sunny window, in the house. In a month I will have to bring all my other tropical plants inside for the winter.
