Freeze mode is holy.I don’t know why the Lord waited until now to show me that the Hebrew words “raphah,” which means “to relax, let go or be idle” and “rapha,” which means “to heal completely and thoroughly or to make entirely whole” are twin roots, especially since I’ve already been going through severe medical trauma for almost 6 1/2 years, but my life will never be the same. Freeze mode isn’t a malfunction, and it isn’t a lack of faith. It is our bodies obeying a biological and spiritual mandate to let go. In the original Hebrew, the call to "be still" in Psalm 46:10 comes from the word raphah—which literally means to slacken your grip, drop your hands, or let go of your weapons because the war has been too long. Intimately tied to this is its sister root rapha, the word for healing, found in Jehovah Rapha: the Lord who heals. When we finally stop fighting and take that holy pause, we aren’t quitting; we are stepping right from raphah (letting go) into rapha (divine healing). We don’t need to carry weapons or fight back, because no weapon formed against us can win when our vindication and protection come directly from the Lord. This completely upends what spiritual warfare looks like. Dropping our guard in the presence of God isn’t surrender to the enemy—it is a high-level act of spiritual warfare. It sends a message to the spiritual realm that our security isn’t held together by our own hyper-vigilance. Real healing happens when the nervous system and the spirit realize they are allowed to rest in the middle of the storm. Throughout Scripture, God-given rest is a protective sanctuary. God isn't asking you to stand guard forever. He isn't sitting up there grading you on how long you can stay hyper-vigilant before you crack. The whole point of letting go—of sinking into that biblical sanctuary—is that you finally get to put the armor down. True recovery gives us places and moments where we are safe enough to unclench our fists, stop scanning the room, and rest. You don't have to live on high alert forever. Your spirit is allowed to exhale.

Ignoring or belittling pain will prevent us from being able to experience contentment!!!As excited as I am about this move, and as much as I know it is from the Lord, it is also triggering my PTSD. I have not left any of my previous three long term care facilities on my own terms. This move is voluntary, but it wasn't my idea or my timing. Living here changed my life for eternity, even as my physical health battle rages on.
I am so thankful that nothing surprises the Lord and that Christ gives me the strength to face anything. Even this.

The Lord is able to provide us with a way to escape difficult circumstances; even ones of our own making!!!My time at the Sanctuary at Wilmington Place is coming to an end. I was informed on Friday, September 18th that the they feel that they can no longer meet my needs. Therefore I will be moving to CareCore at Mary Scott in the very near future. I have bonded with some really wonderful people at the Sanctuary who I will always consider family. I will miss them dearly, but just as the Lord directed my move to my soon to be former home in 2024 and His hand has been very evident throughout the past two years, I believe this move is His guidance and grace as well and I look forward to the next chapter of this wild journey. Please keep me in your prayers as I navigate this move while also navigating learning to cath again. Anyone who has ever had my address, please DM me for the new one!!!

We would be wise to stay with Jesus and His plan for us.I finally got my foley removed today and had my voiding trial and it was A SUCCESS!!!!! It feels SO GOOD to not have any tubes coming out of me!!!! I am following up with one of my doctors at OSU in 6-8 weeks.

I realized as I was cathing that depending on what happens with the function of my hands, the solution
I have now may not be the solution
I have forever. I have a neurology appointment and an appointment with my beloved neurosurgeon next week to discuss that further, as well as to begin searching for answers as to what is causing my body to continually lean to the left. I am stillworking towards losing weight so that I can get my hernia and urethra repaired, and looking for answers for my swollen right foot and leg, and I need to get my teeth fixed. It’s still gonna be a long road, but I’m so happy to have so much of this urology nightmare behind me.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support. Every reaction, every comment and every follow means the absolute world to me. Thank you for being in my corner during the hardest years of my life. I love you all so much.
