One thing from HWA3 that changed the way I thought about memory was the fact that memory changes based on experience and how our feelings have altered with time on specific things that happen to us, which is why it gets blurry because we don't choose to remember it as such #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

Andersons tone staying calm during moments where I expected her to get emotional is what stood out to me. as the story became more personal and eventful, especially around the “boom,” her voice made it feel like the story was building towards something painful to hear #hwa3 #sonicmeaning

the sound of the tv static after you said that not everything is as it seems frightened me a bit and made me replay what you said because I didn't process it correctly and the sudden sign off left me there to digest it #hwa3 #sonicmeaning

because the horrible parts of the experience were so distracting, she might have unconsciously pushed them aside and focused on the parts that felt easier to tell, eventually making that version of the story what she remembered. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling

I think she kept forgetting part of the story even as she kept telling it because we as people tend to get lost in the details and in the point we try to make when recalling something we don't necessarily want to remember. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling

I feel listening to Laurie Anderson made me think about how a memory isnt really frozen the way we think it is. everytime we tell the same story again, I feel like we change little parts without even realizing it. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

The way she changes her voice honestly tells me more than the actual words sometimes. When she gets quieter or slower you can kinda feel that the memory is harder for her to talk about before she even explains why. #hwa3 #sonicmeaning

I think memory probably changes depending on what your brain is ready to deal with. She might remember really specific things like sounds or smells, but other parts could still be blurry or changed because of the trauma. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling

Her voice makes it feel less like shes just explaining what happened and more like shes kinda reliving it while talking. The way she says things makes me start building the whole scene in my head without even trying. #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

Anderson really changed the way I think about memory due to the harsh recalling of everything she forgot in her story. Some of our true feelings and experiences that we remember of ourselves are really just handpicked by our concious to protect our ego which is crazy #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently
