Huge thanks to @emmaswanauthor.bsky.social for hosting our conversation at @burylitfest.bsky.social and to Kate Harris of Harris & Harris Books for providing Emma’s and my books for our fabulous audience.

Luckily one gentleman actually read the Paul Smith cardy memo.

On #BookshopDay it was a pleasure to meet Emily of Lowestoft’s Epilogue bookshop and chat with Anna Fargher to boys and girls of all ages (and a bear) about reading and writing.

I’m heading to the @mcrlitfest.bsky.social on Saturday 17th October.

At 2pm I’ll be talking to JoJo Silva about my new children's book, Rory Sparkes and the Spy Who Loved Tea, and then at 7.30pm it’s time to drill down into 15 years of Downton Abbey and a bear with marmalade issues…

Thanks to the Fife Arms and Hauser & Wirth and Glenrothes for their warm hospitality and to Her Majesty the Queen and The Queen’s Reading Room for their tireless support of all things literature and literacy.

Very happy to kick off the tour for ‘Rory Sparkes and the Spy Who Loved Tea’ at Braemar School, Aberdeenshire. Thanks to the children for staying after school on a Friday to chat about stories, storytelling and of course the bear with a marmalade habit.
