Been working on #HorusHeresy stuff in prep for when out of town friends show up. Tech marine looking guy is the Iron Hands Iron Father and the other two are Emperor’s Children destroyers. One with the rock grinder is “Sergeant w/Powerfist, and hand flamer.”

A miniature of a space marine holding a big rock grinder with what looks like a flame thrower spout on the front.

A miniature of a space marine hold to hand flame throwers.

A space marine with a mask and no helmet, his shoulder pads have gears. He wields a hammer and a gun that looks like some sort of laser weapon(it’s a collide charger). He has a backpack with a large mechanical arm that moves around and has a big clamp.

Jumpy lads. These are unexpectedly boring to paint, but at least they look cool finished.

I am pretty happy with Purts base. Very simple white to help him stand out. Rust and dust to follow.

Two shots of the same vindicator. It went for a quite pint...
It is the last one to arrive for a mega battle in 6 months time.

Perts with washes on, happy with the character.

4 vindicators sprayed and ready for next stage of work, only one left to arrive.

Land raider spartan and pred ready.

Was out steiking and exhausted once home.

Noodling away on a Siege Breaker kitbash for my #horusheresy Ultramarines

Work in progress shot of a Space Marine character. His torso and legs are the Loyalist Herald Consul, with the backpack and console from the Siege Breaker. An arm from the Breachers kit has been repositioned to bring his hand to the buttons on the console. The hand is from the Rapier Battery crew.

Cthonia’s Last gets another member.

I’m having a really great time painting these dudes and I may have a special one on the way soon!

Finished off some more Iron Warriors this afternoon, the rest of the Cataphractii Terminators join the Sergeant I painted ages ago, and some Rapier crewmen now just waiting for their guns.

Perturabo almost ready for washes. Fun guy.

Second picture shows a landraider I painted like 20 years ago next to a spartan from a few months ago. The older raider will be stripped.

This is a strike day gonna go picket in a while.

Second attempt using liquid mask for stripes and airbrush and this time it turned out much more how I'd like it to.

A saturnine terminator painted in an iron warriors scheme, with hazard stripes on the right shoulder plate and the left painted black.

Purts with more gold blocked in, I feel like he will be much quicker than the Nighthaunter. In time not days. Enjoyable models both.

This vindicator arroved yesterday with thick blue paint. Already stripped and added to the spray queue.

Tonight I played my first game of Horus Heresy, a 1k game of my Solar Auxilia v Dark Angels. The rules are very complex! It was an Astartes victory, but my little guys gave them hell!

#horusheresy #warhammercommunity #nerdlings #warhammer40k #warhammer #miniatures #30k #solarauxilia

Initial Solar Auxilia deployment using the ruins as cover. Two Lasrifle Sections held the center with the Tactical Command Section. In support was the Veletaris Command Section and Veletaris Vanguard Section.

The Aethon Heavy Sentinels move up to take the first objective and try to suppress the Astartes plasma cannon team.

The Assault Marines and Praetor jump forward to dislodge the Auxilia from the ruins.

The remnants of the Auilia pour on the firepower but fail to destroy the Assault Marines or route the Tactical squad.

First good attempt at airbrushing hazards, using masking tape and liquid mask and pretty happy with it, even if it's yellow with black stripes. Then finished the base for my dreadnought to have the bas profile of a forgefiend #warhammer #40k #30k #nerdlings #horusheresy #ironwarriors
