Another plant recently added to the Shop: a Sarracenia x areolata “Brooks Garcia” (sibling to the red lid alata in there already).

A few of the leuco x alata nigro plants I haven’t divided are showing colors like this but this has a very unique shape and color compared to them. Frosty white lid but red underneath, bulbous in the upper pitcher.Photo, no descriptionPhoto, no description

Rudbeckia 'Little Henry'.
Not sure why the diminutive is necessary here.

A small but colorful plant that recently had divisions added to the Shop: Sarracenia (“Wilkerson’s Red” x ‘Adrian Slack’) x (flava rubri x ‘Adrian Slack’) HC A.
I don’t quite know how a solid maroon plant popped out of that parentage

Exam tip: Protocols: explain the why.

Q. Explain why several samples should be taken when testing soil pH.

One mark for the point, one for developing it. Most dropped marks come from stopping after the point.

Free lesson: hortpass.co.uk/free #Gardening #Horticulture #RHSLevel2

Exam tip: Protocols: explain the why. Question: Explain why several samples should be taken when testing soil pH. (2 marks). Point, 1 mark: pH can vary across a site, Development, 1 mark: so mixing several samples gives a result that represents the whole area, not one unusual spot.
