It's October 11 and I'm 18 movies in to my Horror Watch challenge.
Trying to watch each and every horror subgenre.
Attached is my ranked list
@harmonyfb.bsky.socialAlas, I got caught up in a video game & missed out! I love "Carnival of Souls" - super-unsettling, utterly simple effects. #Horrorwatch
@pauljessup.comYay! That's one of the things I love about doing #HorrorWatch. Finding great movies and introducing them to new fans
@unrealfred.bsky.socialI regret to inform you that a remake exists. #HorrorWatch
@unrealfred.bsky.socialCarnival of Souls isn't remotely surprising—though it might have been more so in 1962—but it is incredibly atmospheric and haunting. A movie that, as Roger Ebert put it, "ventures to the edge of camp, but never strays across the line, taking itself with an eerie seriousness." #HorrorWatch
@loudtristero.bsky.socialthat was my first time seeing it or even really hearing of it, and i thought it was great! it had such a great subtle use of sound, music, the direction of everything building tension. man... yeah great movie!
