Eight seconds of thinking about them and your body starts a fight that isn’t happening. Jaw. Shoulders. Heart rate. Nobody laid a hand on you and you’re still coming home bruised. This is #nervoussystemhealing, not a mood. And #hooponopono is where I’ll take it. 🧵

Hoʻoponopono is needed. 💢

No really, Kiki is big on the concept of Hoʻoponopono, forgiveness and reconcilation.

Unfortunately for brain-rotted anime fans, the literal translation of Hoʻoponopono is...

Hoʻoponopono (Hawaiian pronunciation: [ho.ʔo.po.no.po.no]) is a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness. The Hawaiian word translates into English simply as correction, with the synonyms manage or supervise.[1][2] Similar forgiveness practices are performed on islands throughout the South Pacific, including Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand.[3] Traditional hoʻoponopono is practiced by Indigenous Hawaiian healers, often within the extended family by a family member.
