As you can probably tell I’m really digging the list of prompts. I’d been in an artist block for a bit and this has helped me get the creative gears turning.

Day 11 is another WIP. I followed #HMLOCTOBER2026 by Heavy Metal magazine with the prompt Cyborg Oracle. Wish I'd gotten more done but I'll come back to it later. I wanted to make a man who has cybernetically awakened chakras, granting him oracular abilities that also drive him mad. #HMLOCTOBER

A work in progress. A skinny man crouches on a barren floor, burned out cigarettes at his feet. He wears a loose toga and is covered in all different looking eye tattoos. There is a metal and screened dome over the top of his skull. Over his eyes are a screened visor with the symbol of the third eye chakra displayed on it. Below that, the rest of his face is covered by an oni mask with a port in the chin for him to smoke cigarettes through. The mask connects to a neck piece with a circular screen at the center of his throat. Down his back is a complex spine cybernetic that places screens over each of his other chakras. The scene is harshly lit and he turns towards the light to look at the viewer. He speaks in a distorted digital voice, "I knew you would come... Somebody always comes... eventually."
I plan for each of the screens to display at least the color, and hopefully the symbol of the different chakras, and for his words to drip pixels and distortion effects. He's been cybernetically enhanced to open his chakras and gain the gift of prophecy. This act of short cutting enlightenment has left him broken and insane.
