Rain moving out.. a few drops remain possible until later AM. But, yeah the bulk of the rain departing. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Cold air moving in... slowly.. but it's moving in... #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Record breaking or record tying heat today. Come Saturday this will be but a memory! #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

We'll feel the heat once more today. A cold front moves through later tomorrow & early Saturday. Colder air arrives with some active Winds Saturday. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

October heat wave continues today. There could be some new record highs achieved across the state and in our region. We'll see how it goes. On the upside, we are sill on trend for some of the coldest air yet, this season, for the weekend. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

After the warmth of the week... a great Fall weekend ahead with temperatures! #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

A warm day with a ton of sunshine at hand. We'll rinse and repeat for Wednesday. Cold front Friday will open the "Chiller" door for a crisp Fall weekend. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

A kinder and gentler day and week ahead 🙂. Sunny today, comfortable. We'll warm through the end of the week. Weekend trends turn us back towards Fall temps and crisp mornings. Things look dry all week. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Looks like the Mountain Co folks are pretty much clear of the rain / heavy cells; Allegheny Co, the exception at the moment. Central NC to E/NC line of storms on the move. Sun coming up and the severe threat / tornadic threat shifting east of W/NC. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx #ncwx

As of 6:45 AM. Daylight arriving within the hour. We'll see what that holds. Flassh flooding continues in some areas of our mountain zones. As the rain / storm threat slowly shifts east, we'll watch for a possible tornadic threat to unfold through mid afternoon'ish. #wncwx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Turn around! Don't Drown! #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx #ncwx

Non zero threat for a tornado overnight into early Sunday. Sunday AM to Sunday later PM shifts that threat east over time as the triple point moves through. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Once our system is east and out, we'll notice improving conditions Sunday afternoon and evening. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triads #ncwx

Newer model run has my attention. I'm not sure this is a clear "trend", but, we need to watch closely on this. If these potential rainfall totals verify, flash flooding / flooding may be more of a problem than earlier thinking. Pay attention folks - please. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #hkywx #cltwx

There will be some risk for flash flooding to develop as we push through Saturday into Sunday if the heavier rain materialzes. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

We will see a threat for some severe storms this weekend. Areas not under the "wedge" could see some cells later Saturday. Once the "wedge" is gone, most piedmont zones join the rest for possible severe. A few tornadoes will in the "possible" mix. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Clouds and dry today. The weekend will be soggy with a potential for some severe storms. So, let's stay dialed in to what's unfolding over the weekend. Areas prone to flooding should be monitored. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx

Model blend for potential rainfall accumulations Saturday through Sunday early evening. *This will shift model run to model run* #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx #scwx #ncwx

Warmer today, we remain dry. Still tracking rain for the weekend. Rain moving in as Saturday plays out. Sunday will be soggy. Would be wise to monitor flood prone zones Saturday night into Sunday night as totals build. Still a ? of how much in play. #wncwx #avlwx #boonewx #cltwx #hkywx #triadwx
