Three episodes in and I'm still more drawn to the legacy cast than the new characters — and I don't think that's a knock, it just takes time. But the new blood has to start pulling me in soon. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

I'm not gonna lie — Deborah is giving me Denise energy but without the grounding. I know she has to find her major and her focus but I'm just not invested yet. She's got potential but baby we're not there. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

A first-gen student from Compton with a mullet and zero patience for nonsense? Rashida is giving Kim 2.0 and I am completely here for it. She's the one I didn't know I needed. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Using homecoming to drop the $100 million deficit storyline was actually smart — all the alumni are in one place, everyone's chiming in on how to save Hillman. That's how you use your setting. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Amir cutting hair to avoid debt and everybody going crazy over refund checks — this is the most real collegiate energy the show has given us. And yes I had to share my own broke college athlete story because I FELT this scene. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Hazel's out here catching feelings for Jalen while Amir is wondering if Jalen was actually feeling HIM — and that little argument at the end of the episode is exactly the kind of moment I want more of from these two. Church girl is not prepared for this world. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Three episodes in and homecoming should've been the BIG moment — but one 30-minute episode could not hold all of that. The cameos were cute, the updates on the legacy characters were fun, but it felt rushed. Hillman deserves more than that for homecoming. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

So Deborah called out President Davenport at convocation in episode one — and now in episode two she's paying the price. Everybody on the HBCU app is talking about her and she's just trying to keep her head down. Girl went from hero to villain overnight. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

I said what I said — Dwayne and Whitley don't have chemistry right now and I cannot root for a reunion I don't believe in. They're separated, fine, but it still feels like they don't even want to be together. Or use to like each other... That's a problem. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

She's got Whitley's flair and Dwayne's heart — but unlike her parents, she does not care about school. The free spirit arc is interesting, but girl, your mama studied. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Let me be honest — I respect people's names, but "Duh-BORE-uh" instead of Deborah? Already on my nerves and we haven't even gotten through the first episode. 😭 #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Hazel's whole arc — small town girl, contradictions, God-fearing husband goals — is the perfect setup for the most important thing college actually teaches you: yourself. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

This storyline matters beyond the show. The fact that a five-star QB turned down Michigan for Hillman opens up a real conversation about HBCUs and Black athletic talent. We need this. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

I came in ready to dismiss him — light eyes, locks, five-star recruit energy. I had him pegged. But then they gave him depth and a mama that has passed on and I had to check myself. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

I am 100% rooting for Deborah and Ellington — but every time Deborah and Shaquille are near each other it's long looks and near kisses and I'm like WHAT IS HAPPENING. The show is pulling me in two directions and I don't know which ship to board. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Unhoused at college, crashing on a community couch, psych major from Harlem — and that's before you find out he came from juvie. Amir has layers they haven't even scratched yet. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Deborah got into Tisch and turned it down? and now she's sitting in class distracted, not taking notes, not knowing what she wants. Girl — everything you were going to do at Tisch, you can do at Hillman RIGHT NOW. Stop wasting the opportunity. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix

Ron pulls up in a Lamborghini with all that big energy — and then Shaquille drops that his mama wanted him at Hillman and Ron can't even hold it together. That's the layer I wasn't expecting. #ADifferentWorld #Hillman #Netflix
