1999 is another country. Models and paperwork and calculators and not a single Excel spreadsheet in sight. It’s amazing to think this show is still on the air. #GrandDesigns

@merseytart.comTonight’s #GrandDesigns revisit is so old it’s not even in widescreen.

@sturobson.comKevin’s got hair!
@brekkiebb.bsky.social#GrandDesigns throwing back to a 1999 build, when the world was just not so shit. Yes, 27 years ago now but amazing what a nostalgia fest that is. Feels much older than something from the early noughties.
@michaelhogan100.bsky.socialTonight’s TV tips: at 8pm, Portrait Artist Of The Year on Sky Arts or The Lost City of Sanxingdui on BBC4. At 9pm, The Book That Changed My Life on BBC2, Rob & Romesh Vs returns to Sky1, #Winter on ITV1 or #GrandDesigns on C4. At 10pm, #FellowTravelers on C4 or Singing Detective rerun on BBC4 #telly
@mev202.bsky.social#granddesigns 10 years to build a house. This a classic example as why creatives are never in charge of the play, but the director and producer are. Artists never know where the limit is and would spend 4 times the budget and take twice as long.
@mattsevern.bsky.socialCaravan alarm! #granddesigns
@mattsevern.bsky.socialStarting in august 2016? Oh that’s not good
#granddesigns
@odhughes.bsky.socialYou can really tell how few people are able to even contemplate building their own homes these days by how much #Granddesigns is scratching around for projects. It's a shame.
@grahamar.bsky.socialStill not finished 10 years later. Are they dragging it out until they retire to finish as a retirement project? The finish is really good though, and the commitment is admirable. #granddesigns
@merseytart.comMost delightful feature of tonight’s #GrandDesigns: Jana’s accent gradually shifting from Czech to Scottish.
@gordonbruce.bsky.socialTempted, as a fellow faffer, to get a T-shirt with ‘King of Faff’ on it. #granddesigns
@gordonbruce.bsky.socialI’m enjoying this couple more than many on Grand Designs. Absolutely rooting for Rory and Jana. #granddesigns
@grahamar.bsky.socialOh. A five year gap. I admire the ambition and the dream, but at some point I'd have given up and bought a ready built house rather than living in a 1 bed flat forever. #granddesigns
@harrymcnally.bsky.socialDoesnt bode well when Kev first rocks up in 2016 . #granddesigns
@gordonbruce.bsky.socialJana’s accent is going to be fully Scottish by the time the build is done. #granddesigns
@rogw.bsky.socialThese #GrandDesigns couple at totally nuts . 😂
@johnnycashback.bsky.socialGot my fingers crossed for this family on #GrandDesigns they seem really nice
@luke.social.sdfeu.org.ap.brid.gyThis is a great #GrandDesigns - they’re already over budget and haven’t even started building anything 18 months into the project.
