It's October 11th, and some years around this time I might be frantically putting the net fence away. Deconstructing paddocks because there is possible snow, or an ice storm coming. But not this year, as it's in the lower 80's with only slightly cooler weather in the forecast. #wisconsin #goatsky

Boys keep swinging, boys always work it out.

A great ironic toxic masculinity song. No toxic masculinity with these boys, just pee beards and hormones.

He only has eyes for the does. Goat bucks have both an intense yet equally goofy lust look.

A few days ago I was able to create some new paddocks for the SCI goat doe herd. We have had enough regular rain after a drought for grass to grow. We will see how the fall pans out to see when to pull everyone back in for the winter.

I get caught up with most things, and then I get sick. Which puts me behind on things again. So frustrating. But at least I got goat health checks done a few days ago. Long story short, but almost everyone needed to be dewormed, and a few need extra care. Details below.

San Clemente Island goats Chimney and her buckling Marduk.

Gee whiz, what an intense long journey it's been with this endangered goat breed. And I'm happy to be where I am with the herd I have. But I also have all sorts of nervous feelings about the future of conservation breeding. #goatsky

Tried to film Klamath being cute

And then he fell…

Pippi. She‘s a smart one. Why exert extra energy when you can walk around and use the ramp?

Lil Klamath felt a bit jealous I suppose.

Pippi has to wear these tennis balls because she is also quite a fan of headbutting the kids - as goats do.

Pet my pee face!

Kasimer is a rare self-black San Clemente Island goat who turned 3 years old this spring and sired kids for the first time last year. And boy howdy is he excited to sire more this year! He thinks he's extra cute with a pee soaked face.

I know you call a group of goats a herd. But I'll refer to my San Clemente Island goat herd as a "circle pit". It is perhaps more appropriate.

Goats can be very cat-like in their mobbing demands.
