A packing slip for 8 machine screws.
Out of 4000 Gus believed that he had ordered.
Big thanks to Maze for fetching the rest of those screws for us.

@lawik.bsky.socialA full cardboard box of batteries is never early. Nor is it late. It arrives exactly 2 days into an event. Every time.

@lawik.bsky.socialA very sweet post about Goatmire from Davide Bettio. Of course focusing on the badge as AtomVM is his whole deal. And the badge was awesome!
@lawik.bsky.socialEvery attendee of Goatmire received a badge running AtomVM on an ESP32. Games were made, badges were clustered and meshed. It was wild :)

@lawik.bsky.socialThe BEAM Bots workshop gave each attendees a balance robot. These work ridiculously well now and experiments continue in the Nerves Discord.
@frunns.eurosky.socialI managed to end up in a workshop where I got to learn how to actually build stuff on this ESP32 ”name badge” from this year’s #goatmire, so I obviously had to create a Doom-like game on it.
Drawback now is that I’m entirely convinced I can build any kind of smart home device/toy.
@lawik.bsky.social11 vignettes told the story of Odin's Folly and his quest to disrupt the tree of Yggdrasil. The struggles of his developer, The Goat, were acted out by our 10 lovely goats.
@lawik.bsky.socialBest behind-the-scenes captures of Goatmire's orchestra and vocal training so far. Ellyse was a phenomenal contributor and collaborator throughout. So glad she wrote this up.
@gworkman.bsky.social@lawik.bsky.socialNot only did they sponsor the conference. Not only do they help you fix your cloud platforms. They also write conference reports!
Thanks Ellie 💖

@ellyxir.comHiya all, here's my Goatmire 2026 personal diary notes. I had such a great time at the conference. I got to try on so many different hats, some of which I haven't worn in quite some time, or have never worn at all!

@gworkman.bsky.socialReally excited to be back! Prep for #Goatmire kept us busy in September, but now I feel like the community has been injected with a bunch of new energy after seeing a lot of really cool projects and hardware in Varberg.
Come join us!
@lawik.bsky.socialThere were 14.5 workshops that actually took place at Goatmire.
We lost two to illness. We regained half an AI workshop due to ingenuity from attendees.
This was a phenomenal start to the conference.

@j4nk.devHand over control to home assistant? 😄 It's on my TODO list since the #goatmire talk by @kevinschweikert.de
@lawik.bsky.socialGoatmire had ~30 speakers covering a very wide gamut of topics and styles. I've consistently heard that the level of talks was outstanding. Our speakers should be proud.
@lawik.bsky.socialGoatmire had 3 distinct original pieces of music composed for it. This was Tom Petterson, Ellyse Cedeno and I believe involved Sam Aaron for some collaboration. And it was all initially caused by Flora Petterson.
Performed on the orchestra Flora made.
@jonrowe.bsky.socialReally enjoyed this talk, helped stave off some of the post #goatmire conf blues. It is both about AI and not about AI…
