#GianluigiGugliermetto: #Genocide is evil not b/c it kills, maims, or displaces more people than wars do. Genocide kills meaning...world view/purpose for living. Destroying an entire cultural/religious group...feels like an attempt to kill humanity, not just one’s enemies. #Gaza tinyurl.com/499a36kb

#GianluigiGugliermetto reflects on current interest in "heretical" #Cathars massacred in 1209: pioneers of spiritual democracy, rejecting Church hierarchies & elevating women; embodying innocent victims but embracing anti-matter dualism. Interesting, tragic, but not GG's heroes. tinyurl.com/5n97sbsp

#GianluigiGugliermetto: A wise mentor told me: Listening to somebody’s deepest concerns, anxieties, & dreams is one of the holiest human activities, to be approached w/ reverence...trepidation...“holy curiosity"... & avoidance of all judgment & projection. #PastoralCounseling tinyurl.com/y2c7u4ne

#GianluigiGugliermetto: #GaborMaté describes obstacles to trauma healing (guilt; self-loathing/rejection/sabotage/destruction, & memory blocks) as our "stupid friends." But fear, avoidance, rejection, or suppression of these "undesirables" only delays our emancipation from them. tinyurl.com/me29rhmd

#GianluigiGugliermetto: "It is completely pointless to compare individual traumas. We are called to work on our individual inner situation, expressed externally through our body, as it has been shaped by our individual #trauma, as #OttoRank intuited a century ago." tinyurl.com/mvh44bsw

#GianluigiGugliermetto: " #Angels as cosmic forces are really about #spirituality in the sense that they raise the question: “To what extent is the universe a friendly place?” — a central question for us living in a decentered universe."

#GianluigiGugliermetto reflects on #Justice: While justice can be achieved as a fruit of labor, e.g. through political action, in a deeper sense it is also a gift: not from anybody bestowing on us what is actually rightfully due to us...[but] a gift of the universe. tinyurl.com/8a9j8cjm

#GianluigiGugliermetto / #Drewermann: The Xtian West has a "chasm btw thinking & feeling....Myth has been fought against, & those strata of the human psyche where myths are formed....All that was not understood w/in the soul has been demonized." tinyurl.com/hpd6fe7x

#GianluigiGugliermetto: "Many of us have known cold, distant fathers...The [golden] #father [ #archetype] is the opposite: caring, encouraging, protecting, affectionate, generous, a listener, a #wisdomteacher; he sees the big picture & stands strong...in chaos." tinyurl.com/4w8upbdd

#GianluigiGugliermetto cites #MatthewFox: Humans globally thruout time have seen the sky as the Divine abode. We can reconnect to cosmic depth & vastness: “ #FatherSky” is the blue horizon & air we breathe — the lifeblood of our lungs, intimately bringing in what is outside. tinyurl.com/fa9tsydh

#GianluigiGugliermetto: While we fight for = #genderrights, this is not just a ? for #trans & #non-binary people; we are all called to become spiritually non-binary. Not losing our #genderidentification but integrating the energies of the other gender. #AnimaAnimus #HierosGamos tinyurl.com/46rzrbhr

#GianluigiGugliermetto: "The #BlackMadonna & #ArchangelMichael are not simply representations of 'woman' & 'man'… these are archetypal forces that live w/in us all." Join GG & the Mistica Evolutiva Team on the 8-Day Pilgrimage "HIEROS GAMOS: The Sacred Marriage W/in," 6/7-24/27

#GianluigiGugliermetto quotes #EugenDrewermann: "All the worries #evil creates in us are nourished by our nostalgic desire for the good. Evil wd not make us suffer so much unless we did not have a memory & a deep knowledge of the fact our life is called to be what it truly is." tinyurl.com/ykzz5vv8

#GianluigiGugliermetto on #EugenDrewermann 's teaching: we need to perceive in God the human qualities of a loving, more-than-unconditionally-accepting parent. When we feel torn by the storms of life, we need to anchor the boat of our life very deeply & trust in a sturdy seabed. tinyurl.com/3adctnc2

#GianluigiGugliermetto: #Wisdomeducation is a desperately needed alternative to the dry & boring Western school system. It means teaching ways to open & strengthen the heart & create harmony with earth, self, other species, & with the creative “mind” of the universe. tinyurl.com/j4t2k58b

#GianluigiGugliermetto: We prefer simple explanations to complex political/historical problems: [in] overwhelm, feeling right gives a sense of control...We are called to let go our need for control, accept our time's chaos/complexity, & root for basic values of common humanity. tinyurl.com/yc5tapjw
