Further, the Committee recognises how service providers currently provide trans inclusive single-sex spaces making exceptions as allowed for by the Equality Act 2010. 472. The majority of the Committee believes that the concerns raised, while recognising that such views are sincerely held, go beyond the scope of the provisions in the Bill, and is satisfied that the Bill itself will not change any of the protections or definitions set out in the Equality Act 2010, including the ability to exclude trans people from single-sex services where proportionate and appropriate. The majority is satisfied that the Bill will not change or remove women's rights, make changes to how toilets and changing rooms operate, redefine what a man or a woman is, nor change or expand trans people's rights. The majority is satisfied that the Bill will not change the effect of a GRC, which is that the individual is legally recognised in their acquired gender. *** Further, the majority recognise that, when asked about evidence of abuse and concerns, no witness was able to provide concrete examples.*** 473. A minority of the Committee is not persuaded that the risks have been examined sufficiently and disagrees with the decision to frame these issues as separate from the Bill. They take the view that how acquiring a GRC affects a person's definition and rights under the Equality Act 2010 and believe that this is a central issue in determining what impact the Bill might have on women and girls and seeks clarification on that from the Scottish Government.

13/ In 2022 the Scottish Government placing #GenderCritical actors UNDER OATH extracted there was ***no concrete evidence*** of any of the ever more lurid mythological threats that the Transgender Massive posed as part of tub thumping they continue to do in courts tribunals etc still.

“If we pass this motion, we are telling women we think they are second-class citizens …" my experience to date over many decades is that this is solely the opinion domain of #gendercritical bad actors & particularly older men who miss the days of casual cruel misogyny entirely free of consequences.

Whilst this clip undoubtedly relates to UK & international media & the many dark others hunt for the scalp of Professor #JasonArday I'll wager there's not one transgender person alive in #UK right now who doesn't empathise with these words. Substitute 'race science' with #GenderCritical - it burns.

Rather than a media pile-on, this was predatory propaganda. Fighting propaganda is not simply a matter of determining whether each individual claim is true or false. It is first and foremost a struggle over who has the power to define reality. That is what framing does: it places certain perspectives at the centre, relegates others to the margins, and determines what becomes visible, sayable and relevant. That authority — that power — is precisely what is at stake. **Race science, a belief system fundamentally untethered from reality, needs to be received as science. Its proponents crave legitimacy because their very existence depends on it. Without recognition from journalists, universities and the public, they remain what they are: marginal and extremist. With it, they acquire the authority to police the boundaries of knowledge — to decide what counts as evidence, what constitutes merit, whose scholarship warrants investigation and whose testimony can be dismissed as mere grievance.
