Found a dying Crested Tern on One Mile Beach and reported it to the bird flu hotline. The Tern died later that day....good news though I spotted many live healthy Terns resting on a sand bar a couple of Kms away.

According to Ai Gawung (Magpie) names the bird rather than describing a separate quality or idea...and I have been told, face to face, First Nation people vocalise sounds the bird or animal makes; make the sound and/or gesture, everybody knows what bird or animal you are referring to.
