This was basically a jumble sale. I would be brought along as I was either too young to be left at home, or because I wanted a day out in the “big town” of #Galashiels. At one such event in the run up to Xmas 1983, I found, among the usual clutter, some American comics. This was a rare sighting.

A frosty December day back in the winter of 2023 at the (very) Old Burial Ground, Galashiels. The building on the left is not a church, but Gala Aisle, the family burial vault for the lairds of Gala, built in 1636.

Day 2 of #31DaysOfGraves - Urn.

Taken on a walk this evening around the Old Burial Ground, #Galashiels, in the south of Scotland. The #graveyard has headstones dating back to the 1600s + includes Gala Aisle, the family burial vault for the Lairds of Gala, built in 1636.
