It's Friday, what a week.

Day off Monday to recover from #Furnace RPG convention (oh, I'm still buzzing about my Hellboy game).

Tuesday and Weds, Migraine season, Thursday child support, Friday - we're in School to ask why a SEN school can't take care of a SEN student (again).

…and York the weekend after and prices aren’t cheap.

And I was thinking - are hotel prices cheaper mid-week? Would they be glad to hire out a function room mid-week? Games stores with tables, what usage do they get during the day on - say - a Wednesday?

Winter is officially here - I had the energy company stop by to light my elderly furnace. Took him under 10 minutes. My cats are back in worship mode. :)

Do convention scenarios need to be designed differently from home or club scenarios.

I was at #FURNACE at the weekend. It’s as near to perfect a #TTRPG gaming could ever come.

I played in 4 games. (Took the SAT night off as I was tired.)

All 4 GMs were experienced &superb.

So, my brain has told me to write a second adventure for the same team, this time things happen in Northern Italy..

My last game. The Invincible TTRPG. Colourful workable trad TTRPG. I’m over read Superero even though it works here. The battles on the show ARE interminable! Am I right?

But superb refereeing and preparation. I thought they were orofessional handouts from the game!

Had to head home a game session early (gutted) from #Furnace RPG convention, broken heating in the house, darn boiler was serviced 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, had great games, played 2, GM'd 2. Will return next year schedule permitting!

So my 1st day at #Furnace. Bloody brilliant tbh. Played Dungeon Crawler Carl ,absolute blast. The GM caught the chaos of the dungeon perfectly. All the players were Ace. Second game was Hellboy,another hugely fun game,the scenario made me feel like we were in the 1st film. Nazi soldiers,

I may have survived to the evening slot but I made the sensible decision to skip it and retire to my hotel early. I was dozing a bit in my afternoon slot. The game still had 4 players and I apologised and explained to the Referee.

This afternoon I played the Hellboy TTRPG. And has a blast. The 5thEd D&D chassis wasn’t egregious being stripped down and rebuilt nicely.

The scenario was in that beginning vibe of the first film. Historical weirdness investigations with normal people against abnormal threats.
