@greendooracademy.bsky.socialFriday Hope Day
A seed germinates. A bee finds a flower. New leaves appear on an old tree.
The living world is under pressure.
And there is still so much here to notice, protect and love.
That is worth holding onto.

@greendooracademy.bsky.socialAfter a devastating NSW landslip in 2022, landholders began restoring what they could.
Some plantings failed. They kept going.
Three years later, natural regeneration was helping create an emerging forest.
Hope doesn't always require knowing the ending. Sometimes we begin anyway.
@greendooracademy.bsky.socialFRIDAY HOPE DAY 🌿
Someone is restoring habitat.
Someone is helping a neighbour.
Someone is sharing skills.
Someone is planting a tree.
None of them fixes everything.
That isn't their job.
A better world is also built through ordinary participation
Including ours
@greendooracademy.bsky.socialFRIDAY HOPE DAY
One hopeful thing about being human is that we are not finished.
We can learn. Reconsider. Adapt. Develop new skills and make different choices.
Change isn't always easy.
But we retain the capacity for it.
The Earth can recover.
And humans can change.
