We are dealing here with a so-called ‘supergroup’, comprising Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Simon Tong and Tony Allen, which released just two albums in this line-up. Unfortunately, the second album failed to match the intense atmosphere of their self-titled debut.

Admittedly, after Soft Cell’s first 3 albums, there wasn’t much else worth mentioning, and ‘Danceteria’ is actually one big disappointment, too– but Soft Cell’s debut album remains a synth-pop masterpiece, and their singles from that era were always brilliant.

Whilst Big Country’s first album featured the band’s biggest hits, their second, much darker album, ´Steeltown´, was the true masterpiece, conveying a mood that was both melancholic and full of anger, demonstrating just how incredibly powerful this band was capable of.

Even though its production makes this album sound a little lacklustre, Summoning’s 2nd album ´Minas Morgul` nevertheless captivates with its dense and ominous atmosphere, which exerts a tremendous fascination.
