@andree.wsocial.euAfter work, movie night 🎬 Always a good choice > RAMBO - First Blood:
The story and its characters, the setting in British Columbia🍁 with its dense coniferous forests🌲, steep rocky landscapes, rivers and canyons, and of course the action with Mr. Stallone 🔪
#rambo #firstblood #sylvesterstallone
@parabellumgames.bsky.socialFirst Blood and the Orders have a special Warband of Legends fans can play now or pick up the boxed set this week if you’re new to First Blood!
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gySherriff Teasle talking about, "F**king around with the law," and everything going to hell when HE was the one f**king around with the law first by harassing a guy as he walked on a road.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyThe thing I remember mostly from the novel is the bat guano cave sequence. That was epic.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyThe first half hour setup reminds me alot of #RebelRidge. I bet there are a bunch of movies like this where local police harass the wrong drifter and suddenly it escalates.
Sounds like a Reacher novel actually.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyI seem to remember a lot of tactics in the novel about how John took out the local police in the forest, like he was using a tactic to injur them so that some of them would be stuck taking care of casualties.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyIs this scenario in the intro even real? Could someone get arrested for being unshowered and walking through a small rural town in the 80s?

@joetedjerome.bsky.socialAnd where was the Oscar nom for this end credits song, by gawd?!
@kcarr2015.bsky.socialI actually bought that one during the pandemic. Could only get a 2nd hand copy. 👍
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyHey, Julia Nickson is in the sequel. We saw her last night in a REALLY bad #Amityville movie. 😆
@kcarr2015.bsky.socialDid you read Morrell's Rambo II novel? John's just alive and in jail, and Morrell never explains the discrepancy. 😆
@allflicker.bsky.socialI just got to this point!
but yes, more splosions are certainly in store in 30 minutes
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyThe only proper sequel for this character. 👍
@allflicker.bsky.socialthis sheriff might still have a chance at winning reelection if he calls Rambo a communist
@joetedjerome.bsky.socialThey should make a First Blood game in the style of that Halloween game that just came out.
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyI read the novel as well. It's short, and REALLY good.
@allflicker.bsky.social@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyWell, hell, looks like I got here just in time for the ending. 😖
